Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to perform a range of PT procedures under supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist. You will assist in patient activities and help supervise technicians, volunteers, and students in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Required is a PTA program completion from an APTA-accredited school and an active Alabama license, with BCLS certification planned within orientation. APTA membership is preferred but not mandatory for the role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of APTA accredited program for Physical Therapy Assistants.
• Current Alabama professional license.
• BCLS certification due within orientation period; APTA membership preferred.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy procedures under the direction of a Registered Physical Therapist (RPT).
• Assist the RPT in patient activities as needed.
• Supervise technicians, volunteers and students as assigned.
