Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• One year of phlebotomy experience or completion of an accredited phlebotomy program.
• ASCP phlebotomy certification desired.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients, visitors, physicians, and Associates courteously.
• Monitors phlebotomy supply inventory to ensure smooth operations.
• Performs blood collection by venipuncture and dermal puncture following standards.
• Label specimens accurately and ensure proper specimen handling.
• Enter test orders and patient data into the laboratory system; provide reports as needed.
