Job summary

FLEXSTAFF is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in hospital settings. The role involves preparing and dispensing medications, labeling, and stocking unit dose carts, plus assisting with IVs and inventory.

Must have a high school diploma, national certification (PTCB/NHA) and NYSED license; at least two years’ experience is preferred. Candidates should be able to learn the hospital pharmacy system and perform physically strenuous tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• PTCB/NHA national certification is required.
• NYSED license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Registered Pharmacist in non-professional tasks (preparing and dispensing medications).
• Fill, label and stock unit dose carts; deliver to nursing units as scheduled.
• Label containers according to department specifications; assist in sterile filling for injections when required.
• Maintain IV records and medication records in inpatient areas; assist in inventory control.
• Enter refill orders into the computer and ensure adequate stock at workstations.
• Perform related duties and maintain statistics and records for all medication orders.
