Job summary

University Hospital is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support the hospital-wide unit dose distribution and IV admixture programs. You will prepare medications, label and deliver checked medications, and assist with inventory control to ensure availability for patient care areas.

The role requires a High School diploma, NJ Board registration, and PTCB/ExCPT certification (or within one year of hire). Strong English communication and adherence to safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• National PTCB or ExCPT certification required or within 1 year of hire.
• Must be registered with NJ State Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Select proper medications and labels, label and prepare products per policies and deliver to areas.
• Print and refill automated dispensing system per par levels.
• Restock stations and manage inventory to maintain proper levels.
• Compound sterile products including IV admixtures and chemotherapy per USP guidelines.
• Perform clerical duties and support pharmacy operations as assigned.
