Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to support daily operations at St. Mary's Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO.

You will collaborate with pharmacists and technicians to prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and assist in patient care experiences within a growing program. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to regulations, and the use of automated systems like Omnicell and DoseEdge.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding pharmacy practice and drug distribution.
• Lapse or failure to meet requirements may result in disciplinary action.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in collecting clinical and patient information and maintaining records.
• Uses pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders and perform calculations for dispensing.
• Attains supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist and knows when verification is needed.
• Fills and maintains medication supplies, verifies inventories, and supports 340B/Charging management.
• Communicates with caregivers and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
