Job summary

The role supports daily operations, prepares prescriptions, coordinates medication access, and collaborates with pharmacists and nurses to optimize drug therapy during hospital stays. Top candidates have inpatient pharmacy experience, IV compounding skills, and familiarity with Omnicell.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice and drug distribution.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with collecting patient information and maintaining records.
• Prepare medication orders and perform compounding per site policies.
• Verify tasks with pharmacist and seek verification when required.
• Maintain medication supplies and controlled substance inventories.
• Communicate with caregivers and participate in safety initiatives.
