Job summary

Intermountain Health’s St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, seeks an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to support daily operations in a high-accuracy hospital setting.

You will assist pharmacists, prepare medications, and help manage inventories in a collaborative team of 55 caregivers. The role offers training on site, exposure to DoseEdge/Omnicell systems, and opportunities for professional growth within a growing program.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification/license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice and controlled substances.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in collecting clinical and other patient information and maintaining appropriate records as required by regulation and policy.
• Utilizes pharmacy technology effectively to prepare medication orders for dispensing and compounds medications for accurate preparation.
• Attains supervision by the pharmacist and ensures appropriate verification of tasks.
• Maintains medication supplies including controlled substances inventories and 340B/charging management.
• Communicates with caregivers regarding responsibilities and participates in safety initiatives.
