Qualifications

• Current Illinois Pharmacy Technician License.

• Completion of ASHP-approved technician program or enrollment in a college of pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications and supplies for dispensing under pharmacist supervision.
• Rotate through all work areas of the Inpatient Pharmacy and assist as needed.
• Prioritize STAT orders and facilitate timely distribution of medications.
• Complete annual technician competencies and comply with policies and laws.
• Prepare outpatient prescriptions and assist in outpatient cashiering when needed.
• Train new technicians and assist pharmacists as required.
