Qualifications

• Current Illinois Pharmacy Technician License.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum of one year pharmacy experience, or ASHP approved program, or student enrolled in a college of pharmacy.
• Team player to provide optimal patient care with excellent pharmaceutical services.
• Good communication with patients and staff.
• Familiar with computers and keyboard usage.
• Certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Transports medications and supplies to nursing units and clinics; restocks Omnicell machines.
• Prepares medications under pharmacist supervision, including unit-dose packaging.
• Prioritizes STAT orders and ensures timely distribution of medications.
• Triages phone calls and maintains workload records as required.
• Assists training of new pharmacists and technicians.
• Performs duties related to outpatient prescriptions and cashiering as needed.
