Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the Hospital Inpatient Pharmacy. This 0.7 FTE role (56 hours per pay period) works Monday through Friday with every other weekend, days/evenings, in-person at the hospital.

You will assist pharmacists, perform calculations, prepare IVs when trained, triage calls, maintain inventory, and support workflow while providing strong customer service to patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program or a 240-hour employer-based Technician training Program or 1,000 hours of Pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepares, packages, labels, and delivers medications after they are checked by a registered pharmacist, intern, or qualified technician checker.
• Correctly performs pharmaceutical calculations to ensure correct doses are dispensed.
• Aseptically prepares IV admixtures and other sterile products as requested (when trained).
• Triages pharmacy phone calls and resolves issues as able.
• Inspects and maintains medication supply throughout the facility and replaces outdated medications.
