Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. The role supports daily operations, helps establish workflows, and collaborates with pharmacists and technicians to prepare prescriptions and ensure safe medication access.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or pursued with interest in pharmacy practice.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice and controlled substances.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacists in collecting patient information and maintaining records as required.
• Uses pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders and perform calculations for dispensing.
• Ensures supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist when verifying tasks.
• Maintains medication supplies and monitors controlled substance inventories.
• Communicates with caregivers and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
