Job summary

Intermountain Health's St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to support daily operations, prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and assist in developing workflows for a growing program.

Top candidates have inpatient experience, IV compounding skills, and familiarity with Omnicell. New grads are welcome to apply and join a team of pharmacists and technicians in a modern inpatient setting.

Qualifications

High School or equivalent is required.
Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice and distribution of drugs.
Disciplinary action may result from lapses or failure to meet requirements.

Responsibilities

Assists the pharmacist in collecting clinical and patient information and maintaining records as required by regulation and policy.
Uses pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders, perform calculations, and compound medications per policy and state law.
Receives supervision and must recognize when a pharmacist must verify tasks.
Maintains medication supplies and monitors controlled substances for security and cost effectiveness.
Communicates with caregivers and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
