Job summary

Intermountain Health's St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, seeks an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to join a team supporting daily operations in the inpatient pharmacy. You will assist pharmacists, prepare prescriptions, and help coordinate medication access.

The role supports 10-hour shifts with weekend/holiday rotations, 40 hours weekly, and an hourly range. New grads welcome; familiarity with Omnicell and IV compounding is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license for the state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.
• No lapse or failure to meet these requirements may result in disciplinary action.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in collecting clinical and other patient information and maintaining records.
• Uses pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders and performs calculations.
• Attains supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist(s) and knows when to verify tasks.
• Fills and maintains medication supplies including controlled substances inventories.
• Communicates with caregivers and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
