Job summary

Intermountain Health’s St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician.

The role supports daily operations, prepares prescriptions, coordinates medication access, and collaborates with pharmacists and technicians to optimize patient care during hospital stays. Top candidates will have inpatient pharmacy experience, IV compounding skills, and familiarity with Omnicell.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations and drug distribution practices.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in collecting clinical and other patient information and maintaining required records.
• Utilizes pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders and compounds medications as needed.
• Attains supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist(s) and knows when verification is required.
• Maintains medication supplies, verifies inventories, and monitors controlled substances for security and cost effectiveness.
• Communicates with caregivers and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
