Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician for St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado.

The role supports daily inpatient operations, prepares prescriptions, coordinates medication access, and assists pharmacists and technicians in patient care throughout hospital stays. The position offers on-site work with a schedule including 10-hour days and weekend/holiday rotations, and provides training and education benefits within a modern, technology-driven

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding practice of pharmacy and drug distribution.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in collecting clinical and patient information and maintaining records.
• Prepare medication orders for dispensing and perform compounding as appropriate to practice site.
• Ensure supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist and know when verification is required.
• Maintain medication supplies and inventory including controlled substances as required.
• Communicate with caregivers and participate in quality and patient safety initiatives.
