Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. The role supports daily operations, prepares prescriptions, coordinates medication access, and collaborates with pharmacists and technicians to enhance patient care throughout the hospital stay.

Qualifications

• Top candidates have inpatient pharmacy experience and IV compounding skills.
• Familiarity with Omnicell is preferred.
• High School or equivalent required; active pharmacy technician certification/license.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in collecting clinical and patient information and maintaining records as required by regulation and policy.
• Prepare medication orders for dispensing and perform necessary calculations; compound medications as appropriate to practice site.
• Ensure supervision and accuracy checks by pharmacists; verify tasks when required.
• Maintain medication supplies and manage controlled substance inventories per policy and 340B/charging rules.
• Communicate with caregivers and participate in quality and patient safety initiatives.
