Responsibilities

• Transport medications and supplies to nursing units and clinics using Omnicell.
• Transfer patient-specific medications for unit transfers and after discharge.
• Rotate through all pharmacy areas and restock medications and supplies.
• Triages phone communication and maintains workload records as required.
• Prepare medications for dispensing under pharmacist supervision, including unit-dose syringes, IV admixtures, and pediatric IVs.
• Complete annual technician competencies and comply with policies and regulations.
• Assist in training new pharmacists and technicians in their work areas.
• Perform outpatient prescription preparation and cashiering duties as needed.
