Qualifikationen

• Current Illinois Pharmacy Technician License.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• IV room non-hazardous and hazardous compounding required.
• Minimum of one year pharmacy experience, or ASHP approved course, or student enrolled in a college of pharmacy or at the University of Chicago.

Aufgaben

• Transports medications and supplies to nursing units and clinics and returns outdated meds.
• Replaces CPR cart medications and transfers patient-specific meds during transfers.
• Rotates through all areas of the pharmacy and supports timely medication distribution.
• Triages phone calls, collects QA data, and assists in training new staff.
• Prepares medications for dispensing under pharmacist supervision, including unit dose syringes and IVs.
• Performs outpatient prescription preparation and cashiering as needed.
