Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy settings preferred.
• Ability to perform sterile and non-sterile preparation and compounding per policies.

Responsibilities

• Fill, label, and deliver medications across hospital and off-site locations.
• Maintain inventory counts and expiration dates in pharmacy systems.
• Follow USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines for compounding.
• Triages phone calls and documents messages for pharmacy staff.
• Assist with training new pharmacy technicians and students.
• Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas.
