Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Certification/Registration/License required: state board registration and pharmacy technician certification (CPhT or ExCPT) within 18 months from start date.
• Experience: No work experience required.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: excellent communication, strong organization, ability to work with diverse teams, critical thinking and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist with preparation and distribution of medications.
• Select, prepare, and label medications, including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assist with medication distribution and inventory control.
• Screen calls and route using proper etiquette.
• Document required for handling controlled substances and waste.
