Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee. The role supports licensed pharmacists in drug preparation, labeling, and distribution, including handling hazardous drugs and controlled substances.

You will assist with inventory management, documentation, and basic billing tasks while ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and state registration/licensure, with

Responsabilidades

• Assists licensed pharmacist in technical duties related to preparation and distribution of medications.
• Selects, prepares, and labels medications for patients including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assists with medication distribution tasks.
• Screens phone calls and routes as needed using proper etiquette.
• Assists in daily pharmacy procurement, inventory control, and outdate checking.
• Completes documentation for removing, stocking, and wasting controlled substances.
• Performs nonsterile compounding following USP standards.
• Performs sterile IV admixtures as applicable.
• Inspects medication storage areas for policy adherence.
• Documents medication admission histories and data entry for record keeping, insurance verification, and label generation.
• May participate in quality improvement initiatives and training of pharmacy technicians.
• Supports area leaders with goals and work assignments.
• Collects initial patient demographic data and assists with pharmacy system data entry and cashiering.
• Develops competence in third-party billing functions.
• Demonstrates care appropriate to patient age.
