Advocate Health's Milwaukee pharmacy team is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing and delivery of medications at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center.

The role involves growing competence with the department's information systems, assisting with non-sterile compounding, and processing medication orders in the computer system. Ideal candidates have high school graduation and clean certification within 2 years (CPhT).

Responsibilities

• Develops competence in dispensing and delivery of medications.
• Develops competence in preparing non-sterile products following USP, state, and federal guidelines.
• Enters medication orders into the computer system and processes medication requests.
• Manages phone calls from customers and team members, including nurses, physicians or patients, with timely resolution or hand-off.
• Complies with pharmacy procedures and documentation to meet legal, regulatory, and departmental requirements.
• Follows legal/regulatory standards including USP and DNV requirements.
