Emory Healthcare, a leading academic medical center in Georgia, seeks an experienced hospital pharmacist with leadership responsibilities. The role focuses on supervising daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to maintain high standards of patient care.

Two years of hospital pharmacist experience or PGY-1 with one year hospital experience are highly desired; managerial experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Pharmacy.
• Current licensure as a Pharmacist in the state of Georgia.
• BLS Certification required within 90 days; ACLS required within 6 months, if directly applicable to practice specialty.
• Two years of hospital pharmacist experience or PGY 1 with (1) year of hospital experience or two years of relevant retail / specialty experience. One year of managerial experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Supervises the day to day operations of the Pharmacy Department which includes staff supervision, legal compliance and reporting, security of controlled substances, collaboration with other departments, and quality performance.
• Performs Other Related Duties As Required
• Oversees supply areas; monitors availability of commonly used pharmacological agents, equipment, and materials.
• Supervises staff and manages employee performance. Provides ongoing performance feedback, addresses problems, orients and trains employees, verifies competency and identifies and suggests ways to develop skills.
• Plans and develops a work schedule; monitors, directs, and redirects workflow for efficiency and productivity to meet or exceed established standards.
