Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital is hiring a Lead Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient pharmacy operations. You will work as part of a ~40-person team, preparing medications and delivering them to inpatient units, while ensuring timely and accurate medication distribution.

The role involves cross-training, supervision of peers, and participation in workflow optimization. Includes weekend rotation and potential night coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA is required.
• Active Ohio Board of Pharmacy registration within 6 months of hire.
• Two years of pharmacy technician experience in relevant practice area.
• Must be able to operate a computer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications for distribution.
• Retrieve medications from the carousel system.
• Deliver medications to hospital floors and support IV room operations.
• Assist with Pyxis optimization and sterile compounding operations.
• Train and develop pharmacy technicians and interns.
