Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks a Pharmacist for the Inpatient team at Lorain Hospital. The role involves medication management, ensuring safe, rational, and cost-effective therapy with regulatory compliance. You will review orders, supervise staff, and contribute to safety and education.

The position is full-time with a 7 on/7 off night schedule, travel between locations as needed, and responsibilities include collaboration with healthcare teams and standard hospital pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS or PharmD (required)
• Current license for pharmacist in the state(s) where practicing (required)
• One year of experience in field of pharmacy practice (preferred)
• Advanced pharmacy degree – Doctor of Pharmacy, Masters, Residency (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Process orders and provide medication review for appropriateness, safety and efficacy
• Oversee distributive functions to ensure timely medication availability
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support personnel activities
• Identify and resolve adverse medication events and contribute to medication safety initiatives
