Job summary

The Staff Pharmacist works in a satellite or central pharmacy to facilitate drug distribution and provide drug therapy across the continuum of care at UC Davis Health. The pharmacist serves as an integral member of the health care team, responsible for drug therapy monitoring and drug information, and for precepting pharmacy students and residents in the area of pharmacy distribution.

Qualifications

• PharmD from ACPE-accredited school or equivalent training.
• Must hold or be eligible for California pharmacist license.
• 1 year of experience in an inpatient pharmacy environment.
• AHA/BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with staff and patients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor drug therapy at the point of order review.
• Oversee drug distribution and provide drug information to staff and patients.
• Precept pharmacy students and residents in distribution and clinical areas.
• Participate in clinical research, committees, and quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to improve patient care and safety.
