Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to perform day-to-day drug distribution, IV order processing, and provide drug information to staff and patients. You will maintain patient profiles, participate in cardio-pulmonary emergencies, and precept residents and interns under supervision.

The role requires graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, current CA Pharmacist licensure, and strong communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of pharmacy as determined by the CA Board of Pharmacy.
• One year of clinical experience as a licensed pharmacist or completion of PGY1 by time of hire.
• Must have current knowledge of drug references, Joint Commission requirements, and other regulatory standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day drug distribution and IV order processing.
• Provide therapeutic intervention and drug information to staff and patients.
• Maintain patient profiles and participate in cardio-pulmonary emergencies.
• Direct technicians, perform inventory control, and precept residents/students/interns as assigned by supervisor.
• Act as Direct Care Provider as defined in Pharmacy Policy.
