Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our hospital team in Monroeville, PA. The role focuses on safe, cost-effective medication therapy, drug information, and collaboration with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care.

Responsibilities include reviewing prescriptions, supervising pharmacy staff, maintaining compliance with regulations, and supporting continuous quality improvements. Evening/night coverage may be required as part of the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) required.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in PA and/or NY within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions and conduct prospective drug review.
• Provide accurate drug information to health professionals, patients and the public.
• Assist in department management; supervise staff and oversee daily operations.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment and handle daily tasks.
• Participate in safety and regulatory compliance efforts.
• Night Pharmacist duties: triage and delegate nightly activities and resolve med-related problems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
