Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in the Monroeville area seeks a Night Pharmacist to optimize patient care by ensuring safe, cost-effective medication therapies and accurate dispensing, including intravenous admixture when needed.

You will supervise pharmacy technicians and students, participate in safety and compliance initiatives, and coordinate with nursing and other disciplines to resolve medication related issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
• Licensed or eligible for PA licensure at hire or within 120 days of hire.
• Doctorate degree preferred; hospital experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions with proscribed drug review and ensure safe, effective, and cost-efficient therapies.
• Provide accurate drug information to health professionals and patients; document interventions.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, students, and residents; oversee inventory and controlled substances handling.
