Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician I - Inpatient, 4 East, Per Diem in Worcester, MA. The role supports licensed clinicians and nursing staff in delivering compassionate patient care on a busy inpatient unit.

You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, perform basic procedures, and help maintain a safe and clean care environment. Weekend coverage and mixed shifts are part of the schedule, with 8-hour shifts and on-site requirements at the University

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English clearly.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
• Must be able to remain calm under stress or in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision of a nurse.
• Assist with daily living activities and mobility.
• Take and record vital signs and basic measurements.
• Assist with procedures and prepare equipment as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean patient environment.
