Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is seeking an Inpatient Occupational Therapist on a per diem schedule. Qualifications

• Current state licensure for Occupational Therapy.
• Three (3) or more years of previous experience in all aspects of occupational therapy preferred.
• Current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Observes and evaluates treatment effect; recommends change to physician if needed.
• Performs an appropriate assessment on each patient, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent and geriatric populations, with reassessments per policy.
• Able to assess patient pain interfering with optimal function and coordinate physician intervention.
• Formulates a teaching plan based on identified learning needs, involving family where appropriate.
