Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking an Inpatient Occupational Therapist for per diem coverage at Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV.

The role focuses on evaluation, planning and administration of OT treatments prescribed by a physician, with the goal of restoring function and maximizing patient independence. Qualified candidates hold current OT licensure, a current BCLS certification, and 3+ years of relevant experience; the position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities

Qualifications

• Current state licensure for Occupational Therapy.
• Three (3) or more years of experience in all aspects of occupational therapy preferred.
• Current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and plan OT treatment as prescribed by a physician.
• Direct and administer OT modalities to restore function and independence.
• Assess patient pain and impact on function; coordinate physician intervention as needed.
• Develop and implement teaching plans for patients and families.
