Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking an Advance Practice Nurse Inpatient Oncology to join our inpatient oncology team. This full-time role offers 40 scheduled hours per week with a 12-hour AM-PM shift at the Yale New Haven Hospital site on York Street, New Haven, CT.

The NP/PA will provide assessment, triage, and therapeutic management in collaboration with physicians, participate in care planning, and support patient education and care coordination in an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Active license and board certification in NP or PA; eligibility for Connecticut license.
• Oncology or inpatient hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, triage, and therapeutic management as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians in treatment planning and care coordination.
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up.
• Documentation in the medical record and adherence to hospital policies.
