Methodist Rehabilitation in Jackson, MS is seeking an Inpatient Occupational Therapist to join a collaborative rehabilitation team. The role focuses on helping patients regain function, independence, and confidence through individualized inpatient care.

We welcome new graduates and provide opportunities to work across disciplines, with a variety of diagnoses and rehab needs, including discharge planning and ongoing patient education.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, valid Occupational Therapy license in the State of Mississippi or eligibility for licensure.
• American Red Cross BLS certification.
• New graduates are welcome to apply; clinical experience in acute care or inpatient rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy services to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
• Develop, document, and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Establish therapy goals to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide interventions to improve function and independence.
• Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care-team conferences and discharge planning.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, nurses, PTs, SLPs, and other rehab professionals.
• Educate patients and families throughout the rehabilitation process.
