Methodist Rehabilitation in Jackson, MS seeks an Inpatient Occupational Therapist to join a collaborative rehab team. You will provide OT services, develop individualized plans, and work toward patient goals in a dynamic inpatient setting.

Qualifications

• OT degree from an accredited program.
• Current Mississippi OT license or eligibility for licensure.
• American Red Cross BLS certification.
• New graduates welcome; clinical experience in acute care or inpatient rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy services to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
• Develop, document, and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Establish appropriate therapy goals to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide therapeutic interventions designed to improve function and independence.
• Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.
• Participate in regularly scheduled patient care-team conferences.
• Contribute to the interdisciplinary plan of care, including therapy goals, patient progress, and discharge recommendations.
• Coordinate patient care with an interdisciplinary team that includes physicians, nurses, PTs, SLPs, and other rehab professionals.
• Educate and encourage patients and families throughout the rehabilitation process.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

Education

• - Appropriate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

Licensure

• - Current, valid Occupational Therapy license, or eligibility for licensure, in the State of Mississippi

Certification

Experience
