Job summary

Methodist Rehabilitation in Jackson, MS is seeking a compassionate PRN Physical Therapist to join the inpatient rehabilitation team. You will evaluate patients, develop, and document individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

New graduates are welcome. Current MS licensure or eligibility, and BLS certification are required. This role offers PRN flexibility with a patient-centered approach to recoveries and robust documentation practices.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current Physical Therapist license in the state of Mississippi or eligibility.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and provide evidence-based physical therapy services in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans based on each patient's goals and clinical needs.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and provide updates on progress and discharge needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
• Educate patients and families on plans, home exercises, and recovery strategies.

We are seeking a compassionate, patient-centered PRN Physical Therapist to join our growing Inpatient Rehabilitation team. What You'll Do

• Evaluate patients and provide evidence-based physical therapy services in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans based on each patient's goals and clinical needs.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences, providing updates on patient progress, therapy goals, and discharge recommendations.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and strategies to support continued recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.

Qualifications: Education

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.

Licensure

Current Physical Therapist license in the State of Mississippi, or eligibility for Mississippi licensure.

Certification

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Experience

• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Clinical experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, or outpatient settings is preferred but not required.
