Responsibilities

• Coordinates and manages resources to provide optimal nursing care, including staff availability, supplies, and systems.
• Maintains productive staffing patterns and labor management standards.
• Evaluates quality of care using standards, outcomes, and indicators; ensures resources for performance improvement.
• Develops service strategies and monitors levels to improve patient and family satisfaction.
• Promotes effective relationships among patients, families, staff, and other departments; liaises with medical staff.
• Encourages evidence-based nursing and integration of evidence with goals.
• Participates in shared governance and advises changes in nursing practice.
• Ensures compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory bodies.
• Plans staffing to meet productivity benchmarks and patient loyalty targets.
• Assists in new service development and potential revenue opportunities.
• Handles HR responsibilities: interviewing, promotions, performance evaluations, and morale.
