Job summary

The Lindner Center of Hope seeks a Mental Health Technician - ECT to provide direct patient care under RN supervision on the patient care units. The role involves monitoring patients, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment in a 32-hour work week (.8 FTE).

Responsibilities include vital signs, specimen handling, documentation in the EMR, and collaboration with the health care team to support treatment plans and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with one (1) year experience with direct patient care in a healthcare setting.
• High School Diploma or GED required and enrolled as an active student in a relevant degree program of nursing, psychology, social work or other related field required.
• CPR Certification – must be obtained after hired.

Responsibilities

• Obtain clinical measurements and vital signs.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and hygiene.
• Document in EMR; complete patient shift summaries.
• Support RN in care plans and patient safety.
• Perform clerical duties of Health Unit Coordinator on unit.
• Participate in emergency actions when indicated.
• Engage patients in therapeutic activities and monitor safety.

Education

Enrolled as an active student in an accredited RN program
