Job summary

CenterPointe Hospital seeks an experienced registered nurse to provide pre and post treatment care for patients receiving ECT and assist the medical team during therapy. You will deliver compassionate nursing care, monitor safety, and ensure smooth patient flow through the ECT process.

Work with the treatment team to perform pre-treatment assessments, monitoring and post-anesthesia recovery, and educate patients and families about the procedure while promoting safe recovery.

Qualifications

• RN license required by state.
• ACLS and IV certification required.
• CPR, de‑escalation and restraint certification required.
• First aid may be required.
• PRN shift – flexibility required.

Responsibilities

• Provide education about the ECT procedure and assist patient/family understanding.
• Conduct pre-treatment assessment and monitoring for patients undergoing ECT.
• Assist in treatment and post-anesthesia recovery management in the ECT suite.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure smooth patient flow through the process.
• Monitor cardiac and respiratory status and document patient conditions accurately.
• Maintain patient safety and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Support safe, least-restrictive recovery practices and de-escalation when needed.
