Job summary

Piedmont Heart Institute Physicians is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Acute Care Services team at Piedmont Augusta. This full-time role involves inpatient and outpatient advanced heart failure care, collaborating with physicians and other APs to deliver comprehensive cardiology services.

Applicants should hold a Georgia APRN license or GA PA license with NCCPA, have ACLS/BCLS, and possess relevant degrees. The program offers a robust compensation package and CME support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with Georgia APRN license.
• Master's degree in Nursing or PA program graduate with GA license.
• Current ACLS and BCLS certifications.
• PA license in Georgia and NCCPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the evaluation and treatment of Cardiology patients in an inpatient setting.
• Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and record data.
• Write progress notes, consults, admissions, and discharge summaries.
• Prepare patient workups.
• Order and schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and other Cardiology Advanced Practice Providers.

Advanced Practice Provider - Advanced Heart Failure - Piedmont Augusta

Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Acute Care Services team at Piedmont Augusta Hospital. This is a full time position.

The Advanced Heart Failure Center (AHF) at Piedmont Augusta is a well-established program with an excellent track record for patient success and outcomes. We are growing at a fast pace, and are looking to expand our advanced practice provider team with motivated and qualified individuals that desire to learn and grow with our program. The Piedmont Augusta AHF program provides comprehensive advanced heart failure care in both the inpatient and the outpatient setting.

Piedmont Heart Institute provides the full line of cardiovascular services with dedicated electrophysiology, transplant, advanced heart failure, critical care, interventional, surgical and research services.

Responsibilities

In this position you will

• Assist in the evaluation and treatment of Cardiology patients in an inpatient setting.
• Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and record the data in the patient's record.
• Write progress notes, consults, admissions, and discharge summaries
• Prepare patient workups.
• Order and schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients as direct patient care services are delivered.
• Work alongside Physicians and other Cardiology Advanced Practice Providers in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing Required and
• Master's degree in Nursing Required or
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistants program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board Required

Licenses And Certifications

• ACLS Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• PA - Physician Assistant Licensed Physician Assistant in the State of Georgia. Updated NCCPA certification for PA's. Upon Hire Required or
