Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Advanced Heart Failure Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the PRN team, delivering care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The role supports LVAD implantation, transplant evaluation, and comprehensive heart failure services as part of a growing program.

Shifts are days, Mon-Fri or 7-on/7-off; some non-regular hours may be required for exempt level staff. Requires GA PA NP licensure with MSN for NP route and relevant credentials; nursing or PA

Qualifications

• GA State Composite Board-licensed PA required.
• MSN or higher for NP route with Georgia license.
• Two years of advanced practice experience preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Provide Advanced Heart Failure outpatient clinic and inpatient consultative services.
• Assist LVAD implantation and ongoing patient clinic follow-up.
• Support Cardio-oncology, transplant evaluation, and heart failure research.
• Enable remote monitoring for heart failure patients.
• Conduct post-COVID follow-up and comprehensive care planning.

The Advanced Heart Failure Center (AHF) at Piedmont Augusta is a well-established program with an excellent track record for patient success and outcomes. We are growing at a fast pace, and are looking to expand our advanced practice provider team with motivated and qualified individuals that desire to learn and grow with our program. The Piedmont Augusta AHF program provides comprehensive advanced heart failure care in both the inpatient and the outpatient setting.

Shift:

PRN - Days/M-F or 7 on 7 off (work outside of the normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position)

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

PA: Graduate of a Physician Assistants program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board

or

NP: Graduate from a school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master’s degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

More than two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner (not required)
