Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Advanced Heart Failure Center is expanding its APRN/PA team. The PRN position supports both inpatient and outpatient services, including LVAD care, transplant evaluation, and remote monitoring. Team members collaborate across cardiology subspecialties.

A minimum PA or NP credential is required with Georgia licensure; prior advanced heart failure experience is a plus. Work arrangements may involve days and other shifts as needed, with opportunities for professional growth within

Qualifications

• PA: Graduate of a Physician Assistant program with current Georgia license.
• NP: Master’s degree in Nursing with current Georgia APN license.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced heart failure outpatient clinic and inpatient consultative services.
• Participate in LVAD implantation and outpatient clinic.
• Support genetic screening and pulmonary arterial hypertension care.
• Contribute to remote monitoring for heart failure and cardio-oncology.
• Support heart failure research and post-COVID follow-up.
• Assist with cardiac transplant evaluation and CardioMems monitoring.
• Perform right heart catheterization and cardiac biopsy as needed.

The Advanced Heart Failure Center (AHF) at Piedmont Augusta is a well-established program with an excellent track record for patient success and outcomes. We are growing at a fast pace, and are looking to expand our advanced practice provider team with motivated and qualified individuals that desire to learn and grow with our program. The Piedmont Augusta AHF program provides comprehensive advanced heart failure care in both the inpatient and the outpatient setting.

Shift:

PRN - Days/M-F or 7 on 7 off (work outside of the normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position)

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• PA: Graduate of a Physician Assistants program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board


• NP: Graduate from a school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master's degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

More than two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner (not required)
