Job summary

Piedmont Heart Institute Physicians is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to join the Acute Care Services team at Piedmont Augusta Hospital. This full-time role supports the Advanced Heart Failure Center in both inpatient and outpatient settings, collaborating with physicians and other AP providers.

Qualified candidates will have Georgia AP nursing or PA credentials, ACLS/BCLS, NCCPA certification or Georgia PA license, and ACNP/FNP credentials as applicable.

• PA - Physician Assistant Licensed in Georgia (NCCPA) Upon Hire Required

Responsibilities

• Assist in the evaluation and treatment of Cardiology patients in an inpatient setting.
• Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and record data in the patient’s record.
• Write progress notes, consults, admissions, and discharge summaries.
• Prepare patient workups.
• Order and schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients as direct patient care services are delivered.
• Work alongside Physicians and other Cardiology Advanced Practice Providers in a collaborative team.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing

Master’s degree in Nursing

Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Acute Care Services team at Piedmont Augusta Hospital. This is a full time position.

The Advanced Heart Failure Center (AHF) at Piedmont Augusta is a well-established program with an excellent track record for patient success and outcomes. We are growing at a fast pace, and are looking to expand our advanced practice provider team with motivated and qualified individuals that desire to learn and grow with our program. The Piedmont Augusta AHF program provides comprehensive advanced heart failure care in both the inpatient and the outpatient setting.
