Job summary

Piedmont Heart Institute Physicians in Jasper, GA, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) for Cardiac Acute Care Outpatient to join our team. This full-time role offers day shifts Monday through Friday in a premier cardiology program.

Responsibilities include ambulatory care, patient histories, exams, and coordinating diagnostic studies, with a collaborative multidisciplinary team and focus on Women’s Heart screening and lipid management.

Qualifications

• PA license in Georgia required.
• NP: Georgia Advanced Practice Nursing license and MSN.
• Full-time position with day shift Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities

• Ambulatory management of cardiology patients, including assessments and diagnostic/therapeutic procedures.
• Take patient histories, conduct physicals, write progress notes and care plans.
• Order and schedule labs and imaging, explain procedures to patients and families.
• Monitor patient progress and coordinate with supervising physicians.
• Participate in Women’s Heart screening program and lipid management within a multidisciplinary team.

Advanced Practice Provider – Cardiac Acute Care Outpatient – Jasper, Georgia

Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the team at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital located in Jasper, Georgia. This is a full-time position working day shift Monday-Friday.

Piedmont Heart Institute provides the full line of cardiovascular services with dedicated electrophysiology, transplant, advanced heart failure, critical care, interventional, surgical and research services.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Ambulatory responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Management of patients across the spectrum of cardiology including assessing patient and performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, not limited to but including stress testing, to assist physician in diagnosing medical and surgical problems and prescribes necessary treatment and services for quality patient care.
• Takes patient histories, conducts physical examinations, writes progress notes, prepares patient workups and summaries, history and physicals, consultation notes noting pertinent positive and negative findings, obtains psychosocial history relevant to patient care, and assumes responsibility for developing therapeutic relationships with patients.
• Orders and schedules laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures. Explains necessity, preparation, nature, and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedure(s) to the patient, patient’s family, and staff.
• Monitors progress of patients, reports progress to supervising physician, and maintains record of each patient’s progress, consulting with supervising physician when patient’s progress does not meet anticipated and/or predetermined criteria.
• Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, participating in the Women’s Heart screening program, managing advanced lipid patients, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary Team.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

PA: Graduate of a Physician Assistants program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board

or

NP: Graduate from a school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master’s degree in Nursing
