Medasource is recruiting experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract opportunity. You will code high-acuity inpatient cases across multiple specialties, ensuring accurate diagnosis and procedure coding in a fast-paced academic medical setting.

Ideal candidates have a CCS certification (or RHIT/RHIA credentials) and at least three years of inpatient coding experience, with proficiency in Epic EHR and 3M encoder. This 6-month contract may extend based on performance.

Formación

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification preferred.
• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience.
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background.
• Experience in an academic medical center or trauma facility is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across a wide range of specialties (Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical, Transplants, NICU, etc.).
• Assign diagnosis and procedure codes per standards and regulations.
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Meet established productivity and quality expectations.

Summary

Medasource is partnering with a leading regional health system to hire experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract opportunity. This role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment and is ideal for coders with strong experience handling complex inpatient cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across a wide range of specialties, including: Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical cases, Transplants, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Additional complex inpatient cases
• Assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and industry standards
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Consistently meet established productivity and quality expectations

Qualifications

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification preferred; RHIT or RHIA credentials will also be considered
• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background
• Experience working within an academic medical center or trauma facility preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EHR
• Experience using the 3M encoder
