Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks an experienced Inpatient Coder for a fully remote contract role supporting a health system. The position emphasizes high-acuity, multi-specialty inpatient coding and requires strong experience with complex cases.

Responsibilities include assigning accurate diagnosis and procedure codes, maintaining timely coding, and meeting productivity and quality standards. Ideal candidates hold CCS certification and have Epic EHR and 3M encoder familiarity.

Qualifications

• CCS certification preferred; RHIT or RHIA credentials will also be considered
• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background
• Experience working within an academic medical center or trauma facility preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EHR
• Experience using the 3M encoder

• Perform inpatient coding across a wide range of specialties, including Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical cases, Transplants, NICU, and other complex inpatient cases
• Assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and industry standards

• Consistently meet established productivity and quality expectations
