Job summary

Medasource, partnering with a regional health system, is hiring Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract. This role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment with complex inpatient cases.

Responsibilities include inpatient coding across cardiology, neurology and NICU, accurate diagnosis and procedure coding, timely submission, and adherence to regulatory standards. Epic EHR and 3M encoder experience preferred.

Qualifications

• CCS certification preferred; RHIT or RHIA credentials considered.
• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience.
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background.
• Experience with Epic EHR and 3M encoder is preferred.

• Perform inpatient coding across a wide range of specialties, including Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical cases, Transplants, NICU, and other complex inpatient cases.
• Assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and industry standards.
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Consistently meet established productivity and quality expectations.

Medasource is partnering with a leading regional health system to hire experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract opportunity. This role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment and is ideal for coders with strong experience handling complex inpatient cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across a wide range of specialties, including: Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical cases, Transplants, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Additional complex inpatient cases
• Assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and industry standards
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Consistently meet established productivity and quality expectations

Qualifications

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification preferred; RHIT or RHIA credentials will also be considered
• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background
• Experience working within an academic medical center or trauma facility preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EHR
• Experience using the 3M encoder
