Job summary

Harrison County Community Hospital seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the Med Surg floor and deliver essential patient care. The role supports nursing staff and delivers comfort, safety, and privacy to patients.

You will take vital signs, assist with feeding and personal care, document intake and output, and help with mobility and transfers, while collecting specimens as needed. State CNA certification and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent and State CNA certification.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a team.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and patient privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, feeding, and mobility.
• Take and document vital signs and monitor intake/output.
• Collect specimens for lab testing as requested.
• Maintain clean patient rooms and assist with transfers and positioning.
• Communicate patient needs to nurses promptly.
• Support department operations by stocking supplies and preparing equipment.
