Job summary

Sturdy Memorial Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the unit-based patient care team. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vitals and document I&O, and collaborate with RNs and LPNs to ensure quality patient care.

This position supports transport, supply management, and timely response to patient needs. Applicants must have a CNA credential and BLS certification, with excellent English communication and strong interpersonal skills to uphold safety and care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA).
• BLS required; CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care including activities of daily living.
• Monitors vital signs, glucometry, EKGs, weights and intake/output.
• Transports patients and restocks supplies.
• Responds promptly to patient and family needs and supports unit efficiency.
• Maintains policies and safety standards per Joint Commission, CDC and OSHA.
• Communicates clearly with the nursing team.
