Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• AHIMA-accredited Coding Certificate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, analyzes, and codes documentation for hospital inpatient medical records to select and sequence ICD-9-CM diagnosis and ICD-9-CM/ICD-10-CM procedures as applicable to ICD-10 transition.
• Primary coding responsibility is inpatient coding.
